The medieval town dates back to the 12th century, protected by an oval-shaped walled enclosure with 6 entrance gates. At the beginning of Renaissance, Paredes de Nava was a demographic and cultural radianting town. In the 15th century, the poet and universal figure of letters Jorge Manrique (1440) is born here, as well as sculpture masters Berruguete´s family, shining brightly during the revival of Crown of Castilla and Iberian Peninsula. |
