  Paredes de Nava - Palencia

The medieval town dates back to the 12th century, protected by an oval-shaped walled enclosure with 6 entrance gates. At the beginning of Renaissance, Paredes de Nava was a demographic and cultural radianting town. In the 15th century, the poet and universal figure of letters Jorge Manrique (1440) is born here, as well as sculpture masters Berruguete´s family, shining brightly during the revival of Crown of Castilla and Iberian Peninsula.

The intervention focuses on restoring the environment of the Santa Eulalia´s Square to locate the monument dedicated to Jorge Manrique, made by sculptor Julio López Hernández. The project, winner of an open competition, undertook the reform of Santa Eulalia´s Square and nearby streets.
